Some place that we never though they are exist in San Francisco.

I have been living in San Francisco for more than 10 years, tho, there are still places that I haven never been to yet.
I had my camera today, on my way driving home, I saw a spot that look really nice while I was on the freeway, I immediately have an idea, "Picture" lets go check it out. I found a few spot that look really good and actually they are a good place to BBQ. If I will host a BBQ, this might be the spot I will go next time!
Enjoy the pictures, I will go back to do my pre lab for tomorrow!

Some test shots after first day of class

After I got off school, I decided to go a walk and playing around with my camera, and get familiar with it. This is a photo shot without a major topic. Well, maybe I call it a Shot Anything trip.

Last day of 2011 Summer Vacation.

Sounds little sad, "The last day". Time passes so fast, I still remember on the first day of summer vacation, I had a whole bunch of plans about what to do in this break, but now ended up not be able to finish it. First I tho that, wow I will have full three month vacation, and I didn't attend summer school this year because of the budget cut, I should have a lot of time to do the things I want. The truth is, I didn't. It makes me feel sad since I didn't do a lot before this summer break ends.
Did I wasted this summer break? umm. not quiet. Instead of working on my plans, I spent more time with my parents. I don't used to spend lot of time with them, but in this break, I try to stay with them as much as I can, I know that once school started, I will need to focus in school, and work, and they will just, work and work every day.
In t his break, I found out that I didn't know how to relax and enjoy moments, the reason is, I always try to think hard that I have to treasure a moment, like, oh I need to do achieve something in this period of time, if I couldn't, and that really gives me pressure for whatever I will do in the next, this is kind of a pressure that become stress, which I ended up couldn't enjoy and relax the whole time. I learned, the harder that I try to grip, the more I will not enjoy the moment. Why not careless about it and just be relaxed for some moment?
Picture is like a tool to grip the moment, tho it will not grip all of it, at least when we look back to the pictures, we still remember what we did at the time, and a sense of it. We couldn't go back to the time, but at lease we have had that moment, and picture is the evident.
Well, Here I will put a period in the summer break, and try to enjoy the last 40 minute of the summer break. New semester will start tomorrow, and this semester will be a very hard semester for me that I am taking 3 major classes, and 2 lab plus work. Hope everything will be under my control.
Here is a picture of SF at night. Enjoy it and say good bye to Summer Break 2011!

Japanese Tea Garden

San Francisco is really a good place for photographer, There are always place and events to shot.
Finally I got up early today, and went to Japanese Tea Garden for a photo shot. Why get up early?, because of the fresh air and free entrance. Feel so relax in the morning, maybe a good place to go in the morning and have a cup of tea.
This is my second time here since I am in the USA, and the first time was way back more than 10 years ago. Time really past so fast. The a way to save the memory is save it in a human brain, but of cause, picture does a great job to remind.
Fresh air and Fresh picture in the morning. Hope everyone could feel the freshness! Enjoy!

Dream Camera Arrived!

Finally, My dream camera has finally in my hands now. I have been playing with the camera non stop yesterday and it perform like a dream.
When I first started buying a DSLR, I started with a camera that is very basic, and with "ok" quailty. Then, I started with updating the lens since most people have said that lens, is one of the most important thing and it will determine what you could do in photography. That came out really true in the beginning. I started buying better lens, and even L lens from canon, really, Lens will determine what I will be able to do in photography. Let say, a wide angle is best for landscape, also "long leg" effect is one of the things that only wide angle lens can produce. Can a 50mm does the same thing? I would say yeah, it would be "able" to do landscape, but just to be able to, and will not be able to do "long leg" effect. Another question might come in, some of the bokeh effect that the 50mm could achieve, will the wide angle be able to produce the same? Answer, wide angle will produce bokeh effect, but its not as much as the 50mm and will be too wide for some of the shots.
Different lens have different Aperture, different zoom lens, and that produces different bokeh, and how fast a len can shot in a limited situation. Of cause, better lens will have better ring, speed and autofocus.
Finally comes to camera. Does a camera really matter? The answer is yes. Lens is a tool just like human eyes, and come to a conclusion of, better eyes will see better. Second step is to produce imagine with Camera, Lens send signal to the sensor, and camera is so important in this step that it will determine the color, light and dynamic range then to produce an image and finally display in the screen that we, the photographer could see it.
Different Camera body will have different functionality. Canon has two camera that most people want to buy. One is better in shorting studio which its also a full frame, and one is better in shooting wildlife and action, which its a crop body, and My dream camera ended up in the better wildlife and action.
I feel that a moment is very important in life, I want to have the ability to capture every precious moment. So for me, a full frame, which can capture more in the same len, which produce less noise and a little better image isn't what I want. and in the other hand, Speed, and Fast accurate focus would fit what I want. and Finally 7D has become my dream camera instead of 5D Mark II.
I am very happy with my new camera, compared to my old camera, its a REALLY BIG step up. first I though that its just focus faster, and it turned out not just faster, the picture came out is A LOT better than my previous camera. Control is better, the weight balance is better, the material is way better than my old camera.
Here is some of the TEST shots that I took with the camera no PS has been done on the pictures, its straight out from the camera. Hope everyone would enjoy it!
